Through this website we collect personal data in two distinct contexts:
Newsletter form — if you choose to subscribe to the newsletter we collect:
- First name (optional)
- Email address
Contact requests — if you write to us by email we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- The content of your message
We do not collect sensitive data, payment data, or data relating to minors.
3. How we use your data
The data collected is used exclusively to:
- Respond to your contact request
- Send you the OraDove newsletter (updates about the book and the project), if you have subscribed
We do not use your data for commercial profiling, we do not share it with third parties, and we do not sell it. Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link you can use at any time.
4. Legal basis for processing
Data processing is based on your explicit consent, expressed by ticking the checkbox in the newsletter subscription form or in your contact request, pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to Show email →. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
5. Third-party services
This website uses a single third-party service which may receive personal data:

Brevo (formerly Sendinblue): for newsletter subscription management. Data entered in the form (name and email) is transmitted to Brevo servers (based in France, EU) and stored in the OraDove newsletter list. The transfer complies with GDPR. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

The website fonts (Cormorant Garamond and Outfit) are hosted directly on oradove.it: no request leaves for external servers while you browse.
6. Cookies and technical data
This website does not use cookies: neither profiling nor tracking ones. That is why there is no banner to accept.
Your browser keeps a single technical preference in localStorage: the language you pick from the selector, so it can be offered again on your next visit. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to any server.
7. Data retention
Newsletter subscription data is retained until you request deletion.
Contact data (received emails) is retained for the time strictly necessary
to manage the communication, and in any case no longer than 24 months from receipt.
8. Your rights
Under EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data in our possession
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure — request removal of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Objection — object to processing at any time
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Withdrawal of consent — without retroactive effect
